What Is the Study Circle?

The PMP Study Circle is not a class — it’s a collaborative, peer-led space to help you stay motivated and on track for the PMP® exam. Over 6 biweekly sessions, you’ll review key concepts, practice exam-style questions, and connect with others who are on the same journey.

Why Join?

  • Stay Consistent – Build study momentum with structured check-ins.
  • Learn with Peers – Share insights, study tactics, and real-world examples.
  • Practice Often – Tackle 5–10 exam-style questions each session.
  • Build Accountability – Work in small groups for encouragement and focus.
  • Keep It Light – This isn’t a heavy training course — just the right amount of structure and support.

How It Works

  • Format: 6 sessions, biweekly (October–December 2025)
  • Info Session: Week of September 29 to explain format and finalize schedule
  • Style: Light structure, interactive discussion, practice questions
  • Platform: Zoom (live sessions) + WhatsApp/Slack (accountability groups)
  • Small Groups: 5–7 participants for deeper discussion and weekly check-ins
  • Leadership: Rotating “session captains” keep energy balanced; occasional guest PMP mentors join for Q&A

Session Flow

Each 60–90 minute session follows a simple structure:

  1. Check-In → wins, challenges, and accountability

  2. Topic Walkthrough → aligned with the PMP Exam Content Outline

  3. Practice Questions → 5–10 exam-style Qs with group discussion

  4. Wrap-Up & Next Steps → study commitments before the next session

Commitment

  • Attend as many sessions as you can (biweekly, 6 sessions total)
  • Contribute by sharing notes, questions, or examples
  • Respect the peer-to-peer format — this is about learning with each other

FAQs

Is this a formal training course?
No. This is a peer-led study circle. We review concepts, discuss real-world applications, and practice exam questions together.

Do I need to be a PMI member?
Membership is encouraged but not required. Anyone preparing for PMP in the next 6–12 months is welcome.

Does this count for PDUs?
No — the Study Circle is intended to prepare you for the PMP® exam, not to earn PDUs.

How are meeting days/times decided?
We’ll poll participants during the Info Session and set a time that works for most.

What if I miss a session?
We share notes and encourage small-group check-ins so you can stay on track. If you miss several in a row, you may be moved to observer status to keep groups balanced.
