About PMI Manitoba

Since its founding in 1969, the Project Management Institute (PMI) has grown to be the organization of choice for the project management professional. With over 500,000 members worldwide, PMI is the leading non-profit professional association in the area of Project Management. PMI establishes project management standards, provides seminars, educational programs and professional certification that more and more organizations desire for their project leaders.

In 1994, a group of dedicated project management professionals founded the Project Management Institute Manitoba Chapter (PMI-MB) Inc., a local component of the International Project Management Institute (PMI®). Manitoba Chapter Members meet on a monthly basis and the Manitoba Chapter Board of Directors meet once a month (and/or as needed).

PMI Manitoba Objectives

  • Create added value services for the members 
  • Serve as Manitoba's project management association, recognized and accepted by Government, Business and Educational Communities 
  • Provide a series of topical project management speaker and social/networking events throughout the year 
  • Provide a forum for professionals to network and advance project management in the business and educational communities of Manitoba
