Our Mission
At Women in Project Management, we are committed to cultivating a dynamic and inclusive community where women project managers flourish as leaders, innovators and collaborators.
This is why we designed this program to nurture a culture of excellence, providing tailored support, guidance, and resources to properly lead women toward success in their careers.
The Program:
Welcome to the Women in Project Management (WIPM) mentorship program, dedicated to empowering professionals in their careers. With four phases encompassing recruitment, orientation, regular meetings, and graduation, our goal is to cultivate connections and foster professional growth.
Phase 1: Recruitment of Mentors and Mentees
Six mentors and six mentees will be paired based on their experience, skill sets, and career expectations.
Women in Project Management is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of its highly anticipated Mentorship Program.
This free launching and networking event will bring together a diverse group of project managers, industry leaders, and mentorship enthusiasts to celebrate the beginning of a transformative journey for all participants.
The highlight of the evening will be the introduction of the Mentorship Program’s first cohort of mentors and mentees.
Event day: Thursday, September 26th, 2024 – 5:00 pm
Fee: This is a no-cost event!
Location: Canad Inns Destination Centre Polo Park (1405 St Matthews Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0K5)
Phase 2: Orientation and Goal Setting
Orientation sessions will be conducted for mentors and mentees to define their roles, set expectations, outline the program structure, and establish guidelines. Both parties will collaborate in setting clear, measurable goals that align with the objectives of the mentorship program.
Phase 3: Regular Meetings, Monitoring, Feedback and Evaluation
From October 2024 through April 2025, biweekly meetings will be held, offering both in-person and virtual options. Evaluations of the mentorship program’s effectiveness will be conducted, using feedback from participants to make necessary adjustments and improvements. Women in Project Management (WIPM) will also organize project management workshops and networking events during this period.
Phase 4: Recognition and Closure
Graduation will take place in May 2025.
The Mentorship Experience
Mentoring embodies a potent, mutually enriching alliance that aligns mentors and mentees based on their insights, expertise, and aspirations.
By fostering knowledge-sharing and collaborative learning, participants feel empowered to tackle challenges, seize opportunities, and drive project success and organizational growth.
