About the presenter

Brad Elenbaas

Brad Elenbaas has over thirty years’ experience in the IT industry, with over twenty as a professional services project management consultant. Brad spent nineteen years in the project management profession at IBM Global Services, and spent a decade managing a flagship enterprise project management program on one of IBM’s largest worldwide U.S. accounts.

For the last four years, Brad has been employed by Paradigm Consulting Group in Winnipeg, and manages projects as a consultant for a local Winnipeg customer. Brad has a keen interest in the development of extraordinary teams to deliver extraordinary results, and the application of leadership skills in achieving such outcomes. Brad has also applied his professional skills in managing volunteer projects, including development of I.T. applications used by non-profit organizations.

 

About the topic being presented 

As a project manager, are you a scribe, or a leader?!? Project management as a knowledge domain and discipline can be learned, with many in our professional carrying various certification levels. The ‘art’ of project management is leadership, far less common, but a characteristic which can elevate a project manager and delivery results from ordinary to truly great. The value, criticality, and the difference leadership makes will be highlighted in a compelling case study, where one of the greatest all-time demonstrations of project management leadership will be discussed.
