Michael Hanna

Qualifications: Michael is a strategic leader with over 14 years of experience in project management. He is currently working as Senior Manager at Bell MTS. Michael is responsible for the planning and delivery of large and strategic network infrastructure programs at Bell MTS.

Vision: “Change is good” is one of his philosophies; Michael envisions value by implementing the “good change” and challenging status quo. He believes that adopting the right strategy with a little bit of risk taking will lead to more success. As a passionate chapter member, Michael will seek opportunities to improve and transform the chapter’s operation.

Experience: Michael has over 11 years of experience in leading and developing project managers as well as technical staff. Throughout his career, Michael played several roles, from Radio design engineer, technical team lead, Project Manager, manager of staff and Project Management Office.  In his project experience, he managed projects and programs up to $69M.

Michael has a wealth of experience in volunteering on various non-profit governances. During his 10 years of volunteer with PMI Manitoba, he played various roles from a committee member to Director of Finance and to Director of Professional Development. During the last two years serving as the Director of Professional Development, Michael was the key driver to the successful rebrand, restructure and growth of the Chapter spring and fall conferences to Elevate and Reignite.

Education: Michael holds a bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering from Ain-Shams University and is currently registered as a professional Engineer with the association of Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba (EGM). Michael obtained his PMP certification in 2006.
